CT021

High precision ER tapping collets feature a special locking design to help prevent tap pull-out during rigid or synchronized tapping. Built for repeatable performance in production and job-shop work.

Specifications & Tolerances

  • 0.0003" – 0.0004" T.I.R.
  • 0.008mm – 0.010mm T.I.R.
  • Special design locks tap square in slots / shank (ASME B94.9-1999)
  • Made of case hardened steel.
  • Collets DO NOT "collapse" to the same degree as standard ER collets.
  • SLOTTED ER tap collets are designed to clamp both the round & square shank providing greater rigidity and better tapping performance.
